DESCRIPTION

This is an traffic light simulation computer graphics (Open_GL) project. This project works exactly like a real life traffic lights which we follow. The vehicles starts moving when the traffic light is green, stops when the light is red and get ready to move when the light is yellow. As their is 3 sided way their are 2 traffic lights are made to control the traffic of different ways.

In this project just two vehicles are used to demonstrate the working of how the vehicles need to be performed or moved based on traffic light. And at the middle of the road cross the traffic lights are placed.

Traffic signals are provided with devices that are located in key areas such as busy intersections to control traffic flow, which covers everything from large commercial vehicles and cars to bicycles and pedestrians. However, these signs come with some restrictions.

Red light means stop. When the traffic signal turns red, cars should stop. Vehicles are allowed to turn left at the red light if there is a sign going left. However, pedestrians and motorists from the other side have the right to travel.

A traffic signal, or stop sign, as it is known, controls the movement of vehicles passing at intersections of two or more lanes by providing a clear indication to drivers when to proceed, when to take off, and when to stop. In some cases, traffic signs also indicate to drivers where they might turn.

Because the main purpose of road signs is to help prevent accidents and to protect people on the road, it is important that they are clearly marked so that they can be identified and positioned so that drivers have enough time to respond to the command given to each sign.
